I have two very ugly fences running down my garden. They also tend to get alot of weeds growing under them which is another problem.
I was thinking of running some trellaces onto them but when I last looked at the deeds I don't own either of tehm.

Try some reeds or bamboo poles in front, a planter full of them or tall plants, with your neighbours permission do a Banksy on them etc.
Get creative, just remember that if they are not yours then your not allowed to lean anything on them, paint or stain them or attach anything to them.

Thanks I spoke to my neighbour he said I can paint or put a trellis on them. However I think the cheapest thing to do will be to repaint the fences and then create a boarder along side both fences. I have already bought someshrubss and a couple of Acer trees that were on sale !

Just beware that if you paint them now, your stuck with repeatedly painting them when it fades.

Also get it in writing/on video that you can do what your neighbour says.

Could do that by just sending a letter confirming the comment, and thanking him for it.

They're already painted anyway
As my pal would say "paint it once and you're painting it for life"
I actually think the fences themselves look fine, what's letting the place down is the fact the garden is empty, apart from a plastic shed and a whirlygig
