Installing some new bath taps to replace a mixer tap. I've just bought some single pillar taps and it looks like they're designed to fit straight onto copper pipe? Didn't think they design them like that these days?

Or do I need a flexi hose with two female connectors on?

Some bath taps are made with a chamfered inner edge ,akin to what you see on a compression fitting. You can use a tap connector fixed to rigid pipework ,or a flexi hose. Trouble with flexi hoses is they restrict flow and tend to split. Went to a job two weeks ago where flexi hose had split ( rusted to high heaven ). Owners had been away for a weekend and came back to a flooded downstairs shower room.
