Hello, I have a wooden floor-just floorboards at the moment- on wich I'll install bamboo flooring, but before that I'll have to level it. After reading about it I think that if I'll screw some structural plywood onto the existing flooring and use some flexible self leveling compound I could have a good result. But one of the problem is that the plywood will have to be primed and after I've tried B&q, Wickes, Selco and few others I realised that that it's quite difficult to find a primer for this job. Does anyone have any ideea? Much appreciated, cheers.

Yes I did, the latex primer is nowhere to be found. But anyway I'll use the self leveling without priming the plywood.

You have to prime, the smoothing compound wont bond to plywood otherwise.

In the sticky it names the products you need. So that would be -

Fball P131 Neoprime primer
Fball 700 fibre screed.

Have you googled the products to find nearest stockest or simply order online and get delivered?

You wont get these types of products from a DIY shed like B&Q etc. They are specialist products not DIY products.

I see, so it's very important to prime the plywood, I did found some primer online but because I wanted to do it this weekend there was no way to get it so soon. I'll delay the job for few days if it's so important. Thank you for your help, all the best.
