Hi. I'm looking for help on how to level an already installed bath. It's only out by about 5mm but this is making fitting a bath panel and plinth just that bit trickier for a DIYer like me. I've tried lowering the supports at one end but nothing gives. Is there a knack to it or a special tool required? Photos attached.

You have to loosen the nut, as you have done, then turn the threaded rod. It should turn easily, if not there should be a foot on the bottom of it that you can turn, otherwise use pliers or grips on the rod.

If the bath won't drop back down onto the nut then it's either wedged or is stuck to the wall with sealant.
Some careful force may be required.

Looking back at the photos, it does appear to be siliconed in, you will have to break this seal (and then reseal it)

For the sake of 5mm you'd be better off trying to adjust the panel itself to fit the bath.

Thanks. That all worked out just fine. All level now and means no fiddly cuts or adjustments to the bath panel. It's one of those 15 gloss MDF slabs and I didn't fancy trying to make small adjustments.
