Just put up my old shed. It's looking a bit tired. What is the best way to add life to if? Cover in preservative? I like the idea of painting it a smooth blue or something, beach hut style. Is there a preservation undercoat I should use? Any recommend brands?

Yes, that is next on the list, doing it on Tuesday. But what about stopping it rotting and making it look nice?

make sure it's not sitting on wet ground, give it a brush with a stiff bristle brush. give it a good coat of cuprinol 5 star or similar. repaint in a similar colour to the existing one.

have covered it on the Everbuild wood treatment that I got for my joists. And have some paint ready to go.

It's best raised off the ground with a dpc of some sort to keep the floor dry.

i love ducks back
its full waterproof and 2 coats every 3 or 4 years will keep it going till your children retire
just make sure the structure is off the ground and can freely dry
