What size and type of drill bit do I need to make a hole in external wall for CCTV wires to fit through?

Thanks

That kind of depends on what cable your using.

The smallest holes for example are for poc (rg59) or cat 5 there are different grades of cable available too.

Bigger cables for rg59 shotgun and cat6 and bigger still if they are pre terminated as they also have to be feed through the hole.

Thank you

I've just checked the instruction. I have BNC cables.

So as a BNC connector is about 15mm in diameter you are going to need a hole at least 16mm and bigger if two or more cables have to go through.

Unless you pass the cable and add the bnc connector after requiring smaller hole , though better to find a route avoiding need to drill .
