How do you measure a radiators width. Do you measure it from edge to edge of the manin body of the radiator or do you include the pieces at either end where it joins the to the heating pipes?
I think that's a very reasonable question to what I find is a confusing issue. I am currently contemplating changing a double radiator which measures 45 inches from edge to edge. That's 1143mm. The nearest size I can find at Wickes is 1200mm. I don't want to have to move any pipework, so will it fit?
When changing rads you are better to go narrower and fit extensions to the rads unless you have enough movement in the existing pipework so as no to put undue strain on joints etc.
