How to procure new boiler (supply and installation)?

Hi,
I want to replace my old Potterton 50E like for like - same location.

Say I identified a couple of boiler brands that seems reliable more than others - how can I get a cost-efficient installation but also ensure warranty holds (10+ years)?

Some brands have own installers network but I assume these will cost more than an independent installer ?

Is ist worth I buy the boiler from Screwfix or Toolstation and get an independent installer to fit? Will the warranty / extended warranty be valid?

The warranty is built into the price of most boilers for example baxido the same boiler with different numbers and higher cost to cover the extra warranty assuming it’s serviced annually,some manufacturers will extend the gtee if you get one of their recommended installers
