I have a 1930's brick built garage with a good amount of wasted roof space above head height.
It is a semi-detatched garage with the three non adjoining walls being single brick.
I guess it is not enough to bolt a supporting beam, for the rafters to the external and adjoining walls. Would I have to put supporting posts in, attached to the wall and bolted to the concrete floor? the span will be about 10ft. at what spacing should the vertical posts be? Would 2ft spacing for the rafters be sufficient, with noggins, for the mezzanine?
Thnx for any advice.
