how to reduce the heat on a mira shower advance atl thermostatic

Hi All - I have a mira shower advance atl thermostatic which was at the flat when we moved in, and although the dial is at No 1 or sometimes colder it can get incredibly hot and having severe nerve damage it is ultra pain!!!

So is there a way of adjusting this to stop it happening? My old house had the same but I could leave it on No 4.

Any tips welcomed?

If the temperature is varying with it on the same setting, it's broken.

The whole point of those showers is that they have a fixed temperature output, can't burn people and are safe for use in situations such as care homes.

I've kilrocked the shower head and am getting a new shower pipe to see if that helps as well
