hiya
I removed a radiator so that a plaster could do an easier job, we are soon to paint the wall and I just want to know how I go about reinstalling the radiator, not fitting it to the wall but filling and bleeding it then re pressurising

Re-connect it with valves closed, pressurise system, open valves, check for leaks, bleed rad, top up pressure. If you run out of pressure before fill, close air vent, top up and repeat. Restore original pressure then set lockshield.

many thanks, can I ask what the lockshield is?

The valve that requires its cap to be removed to adjust it by spanner. Or if you have a thermostatic valve, it'll be the manual one.
