How to remove the heater from a Creda dryer?

How do i remove the heater/elements from a Creda Autodry 37316 Tumble dryer?
I have the back cover off and i've tested the 2# stats - both OK, now i want to remove the heater to test it, and figure out how it comes off so that i can fit a relacement if it's necessary.

There is a very small screw at the right hand end of the heater which goes into a ceramic block,you need to slacken it then slide heater towards you.

Thanks, i located the screw and tested across the elements. Both registered OK, but the elements are only glowing intermittently. So, should i replace the stats and heater in one go, about £60, or should i call it a day, and sack the app. and buy a new dryer? #37316 creda's are pretty old i guess?
