Hi
I have an existing Drayton wall thermostat , which I need to remove as I have a Hive thermostat to install. There are the 3 wires coming from the backplate of the thermostat.
live goes to bottom of 3 in the wiring centre, wire 3 on thermostat goes to bottom of 2 in wiring centre.
The top number 2 wire in wiring centre goes into the top of number 4 wire in top of wiring centre
The top number of 3 wire goes to the top of 9 in the wiring centre.

9 is heating on

my question is do I simply remove the thermostat wires and bridge 9 to 4 across the top in the wiring centre?

Yes join the brown of the valve to the programmer call for heating.

@CHRIS19876 - having revisited this’ll, I’ve realised, yes you should remove the bottom wires, otherwise they will be live the other end.
