Hi,
I'm trying to replace the ceiling lights in my lounge but on removing the first one I was shocked to find that on removal of the final screw it was still stuck to the ceiling. After a gentle pull I found out why; the light had been plastered to the ceiling and came off with a large chunk of plaster still attached to it.
So now I'm left with a big hole in the ceiling which is bigger than the base of the new light I'm trying to install.
Can anyone suggest the best way of repairing this? Apologies if the scale of the hole isn't apparent, but I can easily fit my hand through.
Was thinking about possibly glueing a baton up inside the hole and filling up to it but it is reasonably deep and so I'm not 100% convinced.
TIA
Rich
