How do i replace a Hotpoint washing machine WD62N door hinge? One end of the hinge has snapped. i have removed the door but the backing plate has fallen in ? to the machine. how do i get this out to replace the door?

take the door seal off on the hinged side.
you also need to release the retaining device first. usualy a little clip
