How to resolve repeating Smeg dishwasher aquastop failure?

Managed to reset by draining the water that had triggered the aqua stop, but it happened again 5 days (and about 7 cycles) later. It’s not obvious what’s causing it. I’m running out now with the door off but as far as I can tell no water is gathering. Grateful for any ideas.
