How to secure MDF panels at an angle

Hi all

Am making a wardrobe carcass from 22mm MDF. The top of the carcass will be angled to fit the sloping ceiling, as per the picture attached.

What is the best method of securing the angled MDF panels (highlighted by red circles in the picture), so the carcass will remain sturdy? I'm assuming two mitre joints, with screws?

I'll be securing the whole thing to wall battens, so am not worried about movement from the wall.

Eventually the wardrobe will have doors, but am just doing the carcass for now.

Probably easier to have a fixed horizontal shelf as high as possible inside the carcase and leave the tops of the upright panels "swinging in the breeze", so to speak, especially if you intend to fix the fronts to the edges of the carcasses later on
