How to set the timer on a Main Combi Eco Boiler

I am sorry if this is a really stupid question but have just moved into a new hose which has the above boiler and I cannot get the timer to work

I have this configuration on the boiler and the timer is a circle with many little switches all around it.

I have tried many different combinations (all the switches in and all the switches out, selector switch on heating and water and just heating) and nothing seems to work. This means we have to have the heating on 24/7 and control it with the thermostat

Any help would be much appreciated

I think I know which timer you mean but a picture would help here

Does the heating go on and off when you move the selector switch? If it's a combi, you can't turn the hot water off so part of what you've said above is incorrect

Does the heating control have a on/off and timed/auto setting. If so then timed should be selected. A picture or link to the control unit could help?

The little switches around the outside are pushed outwards for the period when you would like the heating on and inwards when you want it off this will correspond to the time scale on the outer ring. Also ensure that the time is set so the arrow on the centre is pointing to the correct time.

Now there should be a little slide switch in the centre that has a 0 setting with is off 24/7, a clock symbol which is to operate on the times you have set and a I setting which is on 24/7 which is what I would think you are on at the minute.

I have the same boiler. Sounds like you haven't switched it to timer mode as the others have alluded to.

So there's a switch on the actual mechanical timer you are talking about. It has 3 positions. Off, Timer, and Continually On. You need it to be on timer.

I think that jonjb had it. The thing is I have to have the switch for the I and timer in the middle which I wasn't expecting.

2 bar at 44 degrees. Hmmmm id keep an eye out on that. Otherwise youll be posting why your losing pressure in the morning etc. Make Sure it doesnt reach near 3 bar. I is permantly on at the top, middle is your timed settings bottom via them little switches . Bottom is off. Very basic
