Hi, I have interior oak doors which are catching where the black line is circled in the photo…how can I lower this a little so it doesn’t catch? The piece that’s catching on it is metal so I can’t alter that.
Looks a bit like a keep set for a double door with a pair maker set or rebated edge. It which case if the door is catching on the keep it might be hinges, as @foxhole says, or it could be that the recent rainy weather (after a very dry summer) has caused the doors to swell, in which case either some adjustments to the keep are in order, or failing that the hinge edge of onevdoor might need to be planed a bit and the hinges sunk.in an extra 1mm or so
