How to thank someone?

So, how do I? Doesn't seem immediately obvious and I can't find anything (in a timely fashion) that tells me how to.

Look in the top right hand corner of any ones post and there is a thanks button,click it and a thanks appears at the bottom of the said post,you will see i have done it for you.
