I want to put a laminate floor in my bathroom but the existing chipboard floor is creaky and flexes when you move around on it.how can i fix it ?would screwing it down work?I'm a bit concerned because the pipes run under the floor but i dont know exactly where.Do the joists run the same way as in the roof eg front to back-or will they run crossways?? anyone help please?
