How to wire this plug socket?

My builders have left me a half finished kitchen before doing a runner.

One of the outstanding items is this plug socket. How do I wire it? I’m used to there being 2 sheathed cables - not 3. Thankfully they had the common sense to use a wago.

Can I just wire all three, N, L and E wires into the respective terminals on the socket? (See diagram)

Ah, I was under the impression that these wago connectors were end connectors and isolated the cables from each other? Or do these ones have a bus bar to connect them up?

All Wago terminals connect all the conductors in them together - that's the whole point.

I’m used to there being 2 sheathed cables - not 3.

I expect one is a spur to another socket or a switch. You should be able to see it aligned horizontally with the one in your photo.

BTW - I hope your sockets have large front plates, or those gaps will show.....

You do know that the Line conductors are Brown and the Neutral conductors are Blue?

Only asking as your diagram does not quite simulate that.

They did initially fit a 2G socket plate, but they took it off to allow that splashback to be installed. Shortly after, they decided not to show up because their new job had started and they hadn’t built any contingency into the time estimate they gave me.

Did they cut the holes in the splashback? Have you tried fitting the socket yet?

Yep- the splashback already has cutouts, and the socket plate comfortably fits over it without exposing any gaps.

Our splashback is made of tempered glass.

I've always wanted a glass splashback, and they don't look too expensive, until you factor in the cost of each hole for sockets etc.

Are you going to edge light it with LED strips?

We did use LED strips indeed. But not along the edge of the glass- they were installed behind the cornice to avoid seeing them. I’m quite pleased with them!

Is it just a normal led strip hidden on the edge or somrsomet.more fancy
