Hi,

Just changed my taps on the sink and bath lately and I always had a poor hot water stream as it is but now it is more noticeably weak when I turn the cold tap on at the same time.

I am guessing all taps are different and my new taps allow more cold water pressure through thus decresing the hot water pressure more - can this be rectified?

Thanks Andy,

No mate but we have a heat pump underfloor heating system? Had a plumber out before who said that if he increases the pressure to the hot it loses temperature so that would be the same idea as a combi system now that you mention it.

But why would the water pressure to the hot tap in the sink have dropped more since I change the taps? Just characteristic of new taps?

You need to learn the difference between pressure and flow!

You have bought taps designed for a higher minimum working pressure.

Either get your water supply uprated, buy new taps or live with it!
