Howdo I move the indice on a basin tap?

I've got some Eton basin taps bought from Homebase about 18 months ago. Through use over that time, the indices saying hot and cold on the two basin taps no longer line up when the taps are shut.

How can I adjust the angle of the indices?

Do I just prise off the ring which looks like it's holding them on?

the rings normally unscrew .

Thanks Picasso. Just tried and can't move them.

Before I put any more force on them, could you advise: I should turn them anticlockwise to undo - is that correct?

Yes, if they do unscrew. It has been known for them to be glued on though.

Ok - it seems like they're glued - I can't shift them. Thanks for the help anyway!
