What, again?

Didn't Airfix go bust in 1981??

Website still up & running....

Tragic. One of my earliest memories is of making a ship sitting in the garden, sniff sob (say that when your ****ed).

Does this make my collection of airfix models valuable

 Still can't find anything official saying they are insolvent (Ha, ha!)

I used to enjoy fiddling with models ...

but after the missus caught me with a busty blonde one all that stopped ,boom boom ,

Lancaster bomber , Oh yes my 1st as a lad ....

They have been on borrowed time time years, I knew they would come unstuck at some point.

Anyone remember looking forward to the new Airfix catalogue coming out every year?

useless but true

the bloke who invented air fix did not intend it to be as it is

his idea was to make little planes and send them out as well, toy planes.

unfortunately he couldn't afford for any one to assemble them, so he then came up with the idea of selling them as a kit for the buyer to assemble and the rest is history (untill i read this post)

It seems the rest isn't history after al: Hornby trains is 'riding' to the rescue
