In the never- ending saga of the daughter's flat!

Walls were sanded down and repaired following wallpaper stripping. All ready for painting. 2 mist coats were applied before 2 coats of Dulux Matt emulsion. Walls inspected between coats ( primarily between final coats as weekend working is the only option) and were perfect ( as was ceiling). Happy bunnies all. Return to flat tonight to find fine crack running down wall. Just a crack in the paint surface, not the plasterboard, and a wee bit wider at the top, almost although the paint has 'lifted'. When new uplighter lamp was switched on, uneven surface ( as if a section had been repaired and not levelled properly) in ceiling was seen, which was not visible when painting close up nor is it visible when uplighter is off.

Could this be down to the amount of moisture in the air - numerous sweaty bodies working in small premises in humid conditions and windows not left open long enough before closing up for the week? When we painted the lounge a few areas seemed to appear flawed but disappeared when the paint dried in properly.

We can ban the use of the uplighter, but the wall annoys us as now we know the crack is there it spoils our satisfaction in the job.

Can atmospheric conditions affect paint finishes? Do we just have to air the place properly and then touch up the wall?

l?
Was all the wallpaper glue washed + cleaned right off

I believe so. We stripped all the paper off the walls and then a professional firm came in to repair, sand down and make the walls sound for painting. It all looked perfect until yesterday. No sign of any problems during the various coats of paint.
Any advice on how to repair the wee crack without doing the whole wall again?
