I have a very old central heating system (Baxi Bermuda Back Boiler) 30+ years old.
Anyway lately the humming (i assume from the pump) has started to get louder to the extent now that the rads themselves are vibrating a little. Its as if the whole house is now throbbing.
Only prob I know of is that theres a slight leak on one of the rads (tiny dribble) but this stops when heating is on.
If I unplug the pump then the throbbing stops immediately.
Anything I can try without being to disruptive? I realise the whole system is on its last legs and will all have to be replaced soon so I don't want to go tinkering too much.
