Hurricanes are always a natural occurrence on USA east coast. Are they getting bigger and more devastating, or is the human development there getting too much and the media coverage more intense in the digital age. Infrastructure should be more adapted to cope. But what would we know, we build on flood plains 
Have been kept up-to-date with 'Milton' making its way towards Tampa Bay where friends say they've battened down the hatches and stocked up for a fortnight. A bad one in NC a couple of weeks ago was worrying as Herself has family there but they got away with light damage. This one aiming for Florida looks like it's going to hit Tampa head on this time. A few years ago they were side-swiped by one that turned the harbour upside down but this one may well turn it inside out for good measure.

I heard the system glitch was also forecasting temperature 425°C-ish in Scotland.

Milton could result in an indirect defeat for Ukraine against Putin. The east coast is mainly government insured and the bill for damages could seriously dampen the US’s ability to fund Ukraine.
They have had 2 on the trot in weeks and others could pop up. Tornadoes form as well to add to the fun.
Trump reckons all of the aid that is supplied for repairs etc is going to migrants. What a surprise. Electoral College aspects on key states suggest he really could win what ever the polls indicate.

...was a lucky duck in the end, as the Hurricane ended up as a cat. 3 storm but it could've been much worse. Better make sure your roofs in good order as the remnants will make their way across the Atlantic for everyone to enjoy next week.
