First off - I'm a newbie to plumbing so please bear with me!
We're having some problems with our hot water and central heating.
The central heating works no problems at all. Unless the Hot water was on prior to the central heating coming on. If the Hot water was on before, the boiler locks out when the central heating tries to come on again.
I've been playing around with it for a few days. We switched the hot water to manual, and left the heating on. If I then asked the hot water to come on - it did, and it worked with the central heating. So far so good.
Then the hot water switched off as it had reached it's temp setting. Shortly after this the heating had also reached it's setting and switched off too.
The problem occurred the next time the heating tried to come on. The boiler Demand-For-Heat LED came on, and then instantly went to Lockout stage.
Leave it for 5 mins, try again and it works fine.
What's wrong with my system?!
I'll be greatful for any help - apologies for the long post!
Cheers
Craig.
