I have what I believe to be a hydramax unit fitted (not sure what model).

I’ve noticed that when it’s in the off position. There is a water dripping underneath, from what looks like a small home. I’m not sure if this is what’s caused the sealant around the unit to go bad or if that’s another problem.

Is this a common fault with this unit. I’ve read about cleaning filters but not sure if this would resolve the issue.

Regarding stripping the unit, is it as simple as turning the stopcock off. Popping the front cover off and unscrewing.

Hopefully the photos attached help.
Many thanks in advance!

It's an Aqualisa Hydramax. Google it, you will find kits of repair seals etc.and probablythe instructions online. Careful; to getthe right model, looks like there were a couple.
You could call ShowerDoctor or equiv. Changing the parts can be a challenge if you haven't done that sort of work before; you might need things like long thin tweezers to seat O rings, etc..
