Hyundi Coupe Central Locking

Hello All,

My Friends Coupe (02 Plate) Has a really annoying prob where when you unlock the door with the remote locking it locks 1 second later automatically.

Even if you unlock it manually from inside the car you only have a second to pull the door handle before it locks again.

any ideas what would cause this? is it a known prob?

Just a couple of pointers, not vehicle specific. When he operates the locking I take it all the doors unlock? If one of the doors which has the capacity to lock them all (possibly just both front doors or all the doors) is sticking or not actuating the locking mechanism this can cause all of the doors to immediately re-lock. Have seen this caused by broken wires in the loom between the doors and the bulkhead.
Other things to look may be a faulty central locking control module. Have you got access to a haynes manual with wiring diagrams?
