Hi! I am looking for a company which can handle the installation of a roof. We are building our house now but it seems that the company I was sure will build our roof will not be available when needed. I am searching for some opportunities. I need someone who will be able to make an invoice, could you recommend anyone? I found a few companies, for example, Amsterdam Roofing or allroof.us. I know that this is quite late, especially when I need the company for the end of October, but I thought to share here my request If there will be someone reading who can help me I will be grateful.

The "DIY" in "DIYnot" is an abbreviation of "do it yourself" because the site is dedicated to helping people perform building works themselves. It's not a "recommend me a trader" service

As a rough rule of thumb any company that can take a phone call from you today and make a start tomorrow should probably be avoided. The most competent professionals are currently booked up for months, or even years, at the moment depending on the industry sector

You may achieve some success by offering considerably more money to an already booked up company; somebody may be prepared to rearrange other jobs to accommodate yours, but if it's a full diary it's potentially a lot of rearranging - perhaps ask the company you've already booked if you can pay their next client to "swap places with you in the queue"

As an aside, beware trying to get work done too quickly. It usually causes problems. Seek some alternative, like having a scaffold hat put on the building instead, and accept that schedules on building jobs go awry - "fast, cheap, good; pick 2"

One thing I know about all tradesmen is that it’s best to get one that lives within a thousand miles of you. Makes things a lot easier.
