I have a Worcester 28i RSF combi boiler

I am pretty sure it is the red button on the bottom pic, but I can't seem to press it down this time. I am away from home quite a lot and the pressure often falls right down and the pilot goes out.

I am not at all technically minded  so please, if anyone does reply, keep it really simple  !

i know nothing much about boilers but i am sure that "button" is nothing to with with the pilot light.

while we are waiting for confirmation what does the maunal say?

most NOT all pilot light buttons (if fitted) are big and grey)

there's no pilot on the 28i as far as I know it is electronic ignition. Is the water pressure between 1 - 1.5 bar and does the fan run when you turn on the hot water?. The red button is the reset button the back one is a point to test the flue gases.

Thank you ollski :p !

I think the problem was that I wasn't holding it down long enough. I have hot water now - BLISS!

Haha well, that's due to what we experienced highly technically qualified senior engineers call a "leak". :D

Check the pipe which goes out through the wall for signs of drips, then the rad valves - under the caps perhaps.

I will check when I'm back after the summer - by which time the pressure will be back down and the light gone out  .

When I find this leak, is there something I can do myself?
