i asked about cutting off my pipes and cappping them i turned all water off under the sink and near water tankfor central heating i cut the pipes and ever radiator in the house drained onto my front room floor should i have known this or have i done somethig wrong heating is back on now but only hot at the bottom of radiators!
i drained every radiator!

Yes you still need to drain the water that is in the system, shutting off the water supply will only prevent it refilling. Still done now...all you need to do is get a radiator bleed key and unscrew the bleed valve in the top corner of the rad by 1 turn until air stops coming out and water comes out instead. Make sure all of your water supplies are on for this but your system is not actually running.

also if its a combi you will need to represureise.
if its not a combi make sure ball cock in loft is free
