Good Afternoon

We had an Icon Airflow fan installed in our bathroom a couple of years ago. It has recently stopped working and when we open the fan section of the fan, water pours out onto the floor.

Do you know if there is a fuse installed in the fan and if so, where do we change it as we could do with getting it working again.

Thanks

There is no fuse in the fan itself, but the fan should be connected to a fused spur, usually a switch plate somewhere near the fan itself or on the wall outside the room. If water pours out of the fan when you open the iris shutter, in all probability either the circuit board has gone or the fan motor itself.

Is it ceiling mounted with an extract duct? If so it sounds like the fan has been incorrectly installed & condensation has been running back down the duct. If water gets into the motor, circuit board or control module (if you have one), it will short out & if that’s happened I’m afraid it’s probably junk. You need to rectify the problem with the water before fitting new fan or, in all probablility, it will only happen again.
