Hi,
I have an icos m3080. It all works perfectly fine, except that occasionally, the water heating does not come on when it's programmed to do so. It can go months without a problem and then suddenly I get a cold shower in the morning.
The timer seems to what it's supposed to, the light comes on at the programmed time, just doesn't start the boiler up. Generally, isolating the mains, waiting 30 seconds and turning it all back on kick the bolier into life, but not always.
I have replaced the external timer (Drayton Lifestyle) and I have replaced the main PCB (but not the front panel). Still getting the problem.
My guess is that, when the timer send to call for heat, something is telling the control unit that there is no need to fire the boiler. But I don't really know about boilers, and am reluctant to replace anything else without more knowledge. Could a faulty control thermistor be telling the control unit that the water is already hot enough?
Any help appreciated!
