Ideal Elan 2 boiler problem

Can anybody help,
My daughter has an ideal elan 2 boiler which only provides heating and no domestic hot water.Is it worth getting some one in to repair or is any easy fix or is the boiler on the way out

i would of thought the synchron motor is proberly faulty.

1 why would you have an mv on the system

2 you don't even know what the fault is

sorry i misread it, i Thought the poster ment they had got heating but was not getting hot water.
