have re pressured expansion vessel but boiler pressure still rising two over 3bar .ive noticed that the air vents look a bit cruddy could this be the problem. cant wait to read your thoughts.

Air vents would not cause that. Have you repressurised correctly? Is it and Icos or Isar? Either of which come with my sympathy.
