hi
Help needed... to cut a very long and painful story short my boiler works great on hot water and central heating however occasionally it will left off bangs in the top right hand corner. We have a service agreement with Scottish power and they have now replaced the pump fan burner x2 as they have both become cracked. Ignition leads and ignition box condensation trap.... it all stems from a service where the guy broke the diverted valve and left it I only found out when I turned the hot water on in the heat of summer.
I am at my wits end and it works but the banging is so annoying. Sounds like someone thumping it in the top corner. So much so the bottom of the cover comes off!!! Any advice any one? I know they aren’t great boilers but it’s done ya well and has all new parts in it.
Can’t be kettling as it doesn’t sound like kettling. When it happens the burner light will flash and struggle to light but it doesn’t shut the boiler off it just carries on.
Pressure is fine but my brother who was outside when the boiler banged said that the flue was pumping out the steam like someone was doing frenchies on a cigarette...
Again sorry for long post but need help!!!
