Hi all, first post after using the forum for some time.

I have an ideal logic system 2 s24 boiler controlled by evohome and hot water cylinder. All wired up x-plan with NO CH valve and NC HW valve.

This was installed by a professional utilising opentherm but I think something was missed, the SL from the old S-plan plus was removed but I think the SL1 IN and L should have a link wire installed going by ideals halo install manual if using opentherm?

I wanted to install weather compensation alongside the opentherm which ideal said is possible but with the weather compensation sensor installed the boiler always thinks it’s a hot water demand.

Could someone point me in the right direction, I think a link wire should be between SL1 IN and L then a HW off switched live connected to SL2 IN?

Thanks

Might be wrong but I think if you use weather comp it will stop the boiler firing at high rate for hot water so may be slow to reheat the cylinder

We have fitted a fair few Ideal Vogue system boilers on weather compensation with hot water priority on X plan.
Certainly on the Vogue when there is a hot water demand the boiler cranks upto 80C .
