Hi All. I know what I want - I just don't know what to ask for! I need to connect this flexible hose (which has flat-bottomed end fittings designed to work with fibre washers) to a piece of 10mm copper pipe. The assembly needs to withstand at least 3 Bar of pressure and about 80 degree water temperature.

I have a piece of 8mm copper pipe in a compression reducer, and the other end of the reducer is the correct thread for the fitting on the end of the flexible hose. I think the compression reducer was probably a 15-to-8 mm reducer with compression fittings on both ends, because the larger end has an inside diameter of 15.14mm and a chamfer on the inside of the bore that looks like it is supposed to mate with an olive. However, I doubt it would give a very good seal when a fibre washer is sandwiched between it and the end fitting on the flexible hose?

Would anyone be able to tell me what the thing I'm looking for is called, please? 10mm compression fitting on one end, and then to screw into the flexible hose with a fibre washer at the other.

Just file down the end of the brass fitting until flat. Don`t know about 3bar @ 80 degrees through the flexi though, sounds way to high to me.
