Hi all, a mate wants me to source the plastic cover that fits over the towing hole on his rear bumper. His car is a Vauxhall. The plastic replacement part only seems to be available in "primer" gray. Is there a vauxhall database on the web that will tell him his car's colour if he enters his registration number? I guess the log book with just say "blue" rather than the specific shade of blue.

Sorry if it sounds like a silly question. I don't drive.

Normally, there will be a stamped plate, stuck to the post against which the driver's door closes. The plate will include the paint colour code.

E bay may have the part, used, in the correct colour.

Pop along to Halfords......
They have a touch up / rattle can chart of the common colours, including the manufacturers production times.
You may need a can of plastic primer too......often clear and colourless, you'll use a whole drop!
John :)
