I've got some image files (jpeg and gif) of various that I'd like to resize. So, open the image, enter a new size (say 500x300 pixels) and save the whole image. Anyone know a simple, free tool that children could use without too much trouble.

Image Resizer -- from MS -- Freeby 'Power Toy'

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx

See download link on right hand side near bottom of page.

Following installation - right click on an image file then 'Resize Pictures' gets you this :-
Resizer.jpg

Works a treat by default doesn't alter original - makes a copy with small addition to original name -- From (Small), (Medium) or (Large) whichever was chosen...

 Just noticed... more or less same thing as previously offered - above

Doesn't matter empip. I was going to link to that myself but wasn't sure if the OS was XP. I thought there was a resizer of the same type for use with Vista and W.7 as well. Found and linked to it.
