I hope you realise that all your posting in old Imperial units is almost a foreign language over here.

We use kW and mm etc.

We still use yards and miles outdoors but everything else is in metric.

Sooner we get rid of those old units the better!

PS Raden is NOT registered with CORGI because he does not work with gas.

The comment that I wrote here, that was removed by a Moderator, was not an insult.

Most steel tapes use both standards of measurement.
We gauge vehicle economy in miles per gallon.
We drink pints of beer.
We weigh ourselves in stones and pounds.
We weigh the steaks we eat in ounces.
We measure our height in feet and inches.
We measure heat output in Btus.

Sooner we get rid of those old units the better!
It ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

exactly as softus said and there are still some of us who are comfortable using either standard

most of the fencing industry is in imperial

much of the building industry uses both, especially timber

a measurement is a measurement, doesnt matter what it is in as long as you can use it accurately

I'd prefer 568 millilitres, if it's all the same to you... ;)

I'll have 20 fl oz if thats as your buying :D

but go to the states and as for a pint you end up with 16 fl oz

difference being the size of an oil barrel compared to a wine barrel

dont you know ;)
