I need to make corner cuts on three pieces of 450 x 450 x 32mm paving slabs. I have bought a Stanley Heavy Duty/Moyenne Section Handsaw. However I am having problems even getting started as the gap in the teeth on the saw are too big to bite the edge of the slab to start sawing. Have I bought the wrong saw or do I need a man with muscle to do this for me?

a handsaw will only cut thermalites, it wont cut paving slabs which contain cement and flint -you need something as hard as diamond.

an angle grinder with a diamond blade is the only option
