hi I hope someone can give me some advice, would I get more water pressure if the cold water cistern was in the loft and the hot copper tank remained in the old bathroom, or are they both better in the loft? :?:

Absolutely, the more head the better (pressure, that is!) :D But only if you leave the cylinder on the same level as it is now.

The pressure is controlled by the position of the cold water cistern only. The position of the hot water cylinder will have no effect on the water pressure.

A gravity fed hot cylinder must be below the level of the cold tank, or it would never fill.

If the heating system is open vented, then the cylinder coil must be below the level of the expansion tank. I think most recommend at least a metre.

If the height difference between the hot and cold storage is reduced, and you fit a shower pump, it may draw air down the cylinder vent.
