My indesit 820 will not spin up for the final spin, it empties the water ok and the drum turns but it will not spin up to speed to spin the clothes.

I had this problem on my Indesit 1263 about 3 years ago (My Indesit is now 10 yrs old) - it would turn OK on washing cycle but would not spin fast on high speed on the spin dry section - I fitted new motor brushes and it span again ... motor brushes are about £8-£18 depending where you go and on my Indesit were pretty easy to fit - of course unplug from mains before poking about yourself and if in doubt, seek a pro.
