Indesit DIF 04 Dishwasher power problem

Hi

I have an Indesit DIF 04 dishwasher that now has no power. It was working fine and was in mid cycle. There was a powercut and when it was restored the dishwasher did not resume it's cycle. It is full of water and although has mains power to it, I can't get it to restart.

Any ideas?

I have the same dishwasher and have just had mine in bits to fix a different problem.


Have you tried leaving it on at the wall for atleast 5 mins? Ours appeared to be dead for 5 mins then beeped and showed an error.

Does it show any lights at all?

The only other things I can think to suggest are to make sure there is no water in the base. There is a little polystyrene float which raises if water gets in the base this trips a switch if it lifts (not sure if it kills everything or sets off an error)

Also make sure all filters are clear, lift out the metal section in the bottom, and take the two parts of filter out, and take the black bit out and check for blockages.

Have you checked the fuse in the plug?

Many thanks for your advice. I think that it was probably the cut off float as you described. I manually emptied all the water and tried again and the lights on the control panel then came back on.

Now you just need to figure out why and where water is getting into the base otherwise it's just going to keep happening!
