Indesit Dishwasher broken down

Hi All,
My Indesit Dishwasher was broken down over the weekend.
Our main kitchen drain was blocked and the dishwaher tripped out now the drain is open but when ever I turn on the dishwasher it sounds like a electrical short circuit could be the pump. Please help me.
