Indesit diswasher door falls open - soft open failed

Hi I have an Indesit DG 5100 W dishwasher.

Recently the door has fallen quickly to full open instead of the usual damped opening performance.

Any clues as to what the mechanism is for this and if it is likely to be an easy repair or part to replace???

I suggest you take off the side panels & inspect the hinge springs/tension mechanism each lower side. One (or both) springs may have broken or become detached.
